Andromeda’s Gaze
The artist seeks to highlight the richness of the historic beauty foretold of the ancient Aethiopian princess known as Andromeda, for whom an entire galaxy 2.5 million light years away from earth is named. Her charms so encompassing that Perseus, the son of Poseidon himself, slayed a sea monster in her name. This portrait is the artist's first attempt at familiarizing themselves with oil paint medium, techniques used focus on conveying the vibrance of life and colour.
